Community Affairs Unit
In 1985, District Attorney Robert M. Morgenthau established the Community Affairs Unit. Since its inception, the Unit has served as a vital link between the District Attorney and the people of New York County.
Advisor to the District Attorney for Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transgender Issues
The Advisor serves as an advocate for gay and lesbian crime victims and as a resource for those working within the Criminal Justice System. The Advisor also acts as a point of contact for gay / lesbian / bisexual / transgender individuals, and organizations, or other interested people, seeking information about specific criminal cases or broader issues related to criminal justice.
